Re: Paris.
Dear All,
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Each state now has a National Guard. There no longer exists a rationale for individual citizens the right to bear arms. At the time this amendment was written, the U.S. had a very weak central government and had to rely on its citizens to come to its aid in defense of the U.S. through well regulated Militias which, today, is a role each state's National Guard provides. Beyond this, let us continue to mourn the losses in France and to hunt down the perpetrators. Regards, Richard Last edited by Richard T. Eger; 18th November 2015 at 23:30. |
