Third Soviet Intruder Regiment
I am aware of two ADD intruder regiments, which became 26 GvAP NOB DD and 27 GvAP NOB DD. However, a history of the ADD states a third was formed in 1944, the 111 AP NOB DD. I can find no trace of this unit.
Does anyone have any information on this regiment such as date of formation, aircraft, and to which air corps it might have been attached? The history also seems to indicate that in 1944 intruder regiments changed their role from harassing railways to attacking airfields. Again, does anyone have any information? |
