Question F/Lt J.D. (Barney) WALLIS (RAAF) KIA

Hello all,
On January 15th 1945, the spitfire (SM-333) of F/Lt J.D. (Barney) WALLIS (RAAF) 451 SQN, crashed in the Belgian village of HUNDELGEM.
- What was his mission on that day?
- Is the cause of this fatal crash known: enemy fighter, bad weather, engine trouble or?
- Is he buried in Belgium or repatriated to Australia?
Any info is very much appreciated
TIA
