finding p38 details
I am looking for details of a p38 wreckage found in Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu (back then it was New Hebrides). We found pieces with an ID plate containing 7-digits serial number and starting with 1. i have looked elsewhere to find p38 serial all starting with 3 or 4 (4x-xxxxx) http://cgibin.rcn.com/jeremy.k/cgi-b...=&content=P-38.
The ID plate was believed to be from a part closer to the cockpit. Here are the details on the ID plate. LOCKHEED AIRCRAFT BURBANK CALIFORNIA. SERIAL NO. 1911040, ASSEM. NO 248722, INSPECTOR 519. Can someone link this to a MACR please? |
