Thanks for your reply, Robert! I agree with you about that missing panel.

The stencil I was referring to is actually only visible in the third photo. You have to click on the link to see it. Here's a gorgeous photo of an Me 262 A-1a/U3. Here you can have a nice view of the stencil in question.
