Biggin Hill Wing 1942
Can anyone tell e who led the wing in the air during the period July-December 1942. I believed it to be WCdr Eric H Thomas but according to AH he left in late August 1942 to lead the Hornchurch Wing. However both "Spitfire Leader" (the biography of Hugh "Sinker" Armstrong) and Tony Woods list show he was leading the wing in October and November 1942. The Air of Authority Website states he took command of Hornchurch from "Dutch" Hugo in November when Hugo was given command of 322 Wing. Air of Authority shows Jamie Rankin led the wing until December 1942 but I believe he left Biggin Hill in July.... however Air of Authority also claims ML Robinson was leading a Wing several months after he was killed in April 1942
