4-engined German aircraft shot down?
Hi guys
I've just noticed the citation for the DFC awarded to Sqn Ldr Jeffrey McDougall for an operation over Amiens-Glisy airfield in November 1940, when he and his gunner (Sgt Gray) reported shooting down a four-engine aircraft. Perhaps this is a well known incident, but I would appreciate further details, please. Was he flying a Blenheim? Which squadron? What was the actual date? What was the aircraft claimed? PS: 110 Squadron Blenheim, 29 November 1940 Cheers Brian Last edited by Brian; 21st April 2017 at 17:06. |
