20 April 1943 - Africa

Hi,

I read a ORB of 244 Wing lately and I found information there were a rather big combat on 20 April 1943. It happened during sweep over Cap Bon. RAF pilots observed plus 20 Me 109, Mc 200 and Mc 202 and after the combat they claimed 10-1-3 without loss.

I'm looking for more details about this combat of Axis side. Is it true there were only Italians from 1 Stormo because I./JG 77 came too late to the battle?

Regards

Greg S.
