Were 38 Group claims and losses included in Fighter Command Combats and casualties
Hi,
No 38 Wing was transferred from Army Co-operation Command to Fighter Command in June 1943. On the 11 October it was raised to group status as No 38 (Airborne Force) Group. Already on the 15 November 1943 it was transferred to Allied Expeditionary Air Force returning to the ADGB/Fighter Command on the 10 November 1944 and remaining there to June 1945. Were the 38 Group´s claims against enemy aircraft and losses during operations included in the following files? AIR 16/962 Combats and casualties, Vol III, 1943 Apr.-1944 July AIR 24/653 Statistics of Combats and Casualties in ADGB., Fighter Command and 2 TAF; Vol 4, 1944 July - 1945 May Thanks in advance Cheers, Peter |
