Sd Ldr Robert Stanford Tuck-combat of June 21,1941
On June 21,1941, Sq Ldr Tuck was shot down over the sea in a battle with Bf-109s. He claimed a couple of Bf-109s before being shot down.
One Bf-109F-2 of 5./Jg-2 flown by Uffz. Lorenz Dessoy was shot down over the water 12 kms of Le Treport and the pilot was rescued by ASR. Was JG-2 involved in shooting down SL Tuck? Although JG-2 claimed a Hurrican,it was at 1640 hrs,which seems too late, since Tuck was shot down in the early afternoon.
