Polish loss for KG 152
On 5 September 1939, 1. Fliegerdivision reported the loss of a He111 belonging to I./KG152. It claimed that the Bf and Bm both bailed out but were subsequently shot by flak/fighters with the result that the entire crew were killed. The reported cause of loss was an explosion in the air.
My question is when did this unit formally cease to exist? According to Michael Holme's site, the unit was slated to become part of LG3 and there is no further information beyond May 1939. Incidentally, the crew comprised of: Oblt. Freiherr von Loudon (F) Fw. Raub (B) Uffz. Peters (Bm) Uffz. Friedrichs (Bf) |
