109G10 black 12 WNr 770269, Fürth May 1945
Hello all
While searching the web for some FW190 pictures I came across the web page of someone in the US who had posted pictures from a family member who served in WWII as a pilot...a lot of them taken in Duxford at war's end and marked with this location. Unfortunately I do not have the link any more... When looking through the pictures, two stuck out since they looked different from the rest, surely not taken at Duxford. The FW190 red 5 I had seen before in a much smaller picture but what clarifies the location 100% (apart from the hangar) is that the well known and photographed G10 black 12 sits right behind it. Also on the field was a Storch, pressed into US servive. Not sure if the pics are known already...here they are anyway. thanks Uwe PS: Any more pictures of that FW190 known? ;-) ![]() ![]() |
