Yellow ID marking introduced in early March 1945 on Luftflotte 4 two-engine warplanes
I have a question regarding the Yellow ID marking introduced in early March 1945 on Luftflotte 4 warplanes I hope forum members will be able to answer.
Was the prescribed 50-cm wide yellow ring applied on the nose, or the engine cowlings of two-engine heavy fighter/ground attack aircraft (like Me 210/410, or Hs 129)? If the latter, was it applied in the middle of the engine cowling, or in front, close to the spinner? Thanks, in advance.
