Re: II./JG-27 combats on 24 April 1944
Hello John,
according to JFV 13/I the II./JG27 took off at 11.57 and clashed with the Americans between 12.45 and 13.15. At about the same time, between 12.40 and 13.00, the 4th FG claimed 11 FW.190s and 1 Me.109 plus 2 probables and 6 damaged in the Worms area. The 343rd FS (55th FG) claimed a Bf.109 destroyed and another damaged at 13.05 30 miles NW of Lake Constance. Finally, the 356th FS (354th FG) claimed 2 Bf.109s destroyed (but only one victory was confirmed downgraded to a probable) at 13.10 SW of Augsburg. All the other claims are around Munich after 13.20.
