The American National Archives mention in RG 242 (Collection of Foreign Records Seized) under identifier 7329975 ‘ Lists of Downed Allied Aircrews 1954 – 1958 – Records of Luftgaukommandos, List of Downed Allied Aircrew. Arranged by downed Allied aircraft report type and thereunder numerically by report number’. The NARA website also mention : ‘ This series consists of German-created lists of air crew members. Information includes date and location, and sometimes the time of aircraft downing; type of aircraft; and the name, grade, and serial number of crew members. Is any additional information regarding these files available ? Does anyone has any experience with the contents of these files ? Is it easy to obtain a copy from Nara ?
