Belly landing of He 162 120029
Good morning,
http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....&pictureid=661 http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/album....&pictureid=662 The earliest publication of these photographs that I could find are in Alfred Price's Warbirds No. 1: The Luftwaffe 1933 - 1945 Volume 1, (1981), on pages 64-65. The caption reads: "111,112 An He 162 which made a wheels-up landing during a training flight. The weakness of the light plywood and metal structure is evident. (Demuth)" It is likely that Alfred Price obtained these photographs from Oblt. Karl-Emil Demuth of 3./JG 1. Does anyone know where and when this crash took place, and who the pilot was? Thank you, Jim |
