I agree with your opinion. Also the others here in this thread think that "M8" is very safe, and that like you also mean, perhaps it is an airplane from the former Eastern front. In 1944 the Bf-110 was taken out of service by the Me-210, but then it was used again because of the problems with the 210. I think this also explains the color scheme and the discrepancy in the version of the Bf-110. Most sources write a Bf-110 G2. According to Messerschmitt's spare parts list, our wreck parts are definitely an "F". So it could have been an old Bf-110, which was previously an "F" and was used in the East, which was later converted to a G. The Bf-110 is now a G2.

In one of my previous postings I raised the question in which squadron this Bf-110 might have served before. But that caused more questions than answers. Unfortunately there are apparently no more files about the airplanes themselves. So delivery to squadron, repairs, conversions, damages etc. and that all with serial number of the airplanes.
