Lancaster JB740 1/2 January 1944

Hello,

who can tell me the crash location of Lancaster JB740?
On the interwebs I found "Outbound crashed at Rottorf near Helmstedt"

Source: the Roll of Honour at http://www.oldhaltonians.co.uk/

The problem is there are two places named Rottorf near Helmstedt. One at approx 11 km away (Königslutter am Elm) and one at approx. 8 km (Rennau).
Who ever came up with the idea haha?!

Regards,

Timon
