42-55287 loss
Hello,
Have been looking at the made for the loss of B-29 42-55287 on the 31st March, 1945. Three crew were lost. F/O. Dibenedetto, 2Lt. Linnane and Cpl. Gilmore Pilots name it seems was Jim B. GIACOMO, who was one of the survivors. Can anyone give the names of the full 10 crew please ? So far, from the macr there are Lt. Barrett,M/Sgt. Garrick and Lt. Roesaler. Further search gives that the a/c serial number as given in the macr ( 42-55287 ) is incorrect as it was a number for an A24 from a cancelled contract. The correct serial number was 42-65287. The Joe Baugher site has the MACR number as 16208. This is incorrect as that was for an OA-10A 44-33948. The correct MACR for 42-65287 (42-55287 ) is 16028. Alex |
