I/KG26 records 1939

Hello folks,
I am a historian doing research into the Battle of Barking Creek of 6 Sept 1939.
I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the direction of where, if any, records are stored of early flights over Britian by I/KG26. Brian Cull's book Blue on Blue mentions that six He-111s overflew British airspace on this date, but I cannot find any reference to verify this.
Can anyone be of assistance on this?

Many thanks in advance

Nick
