Bf 109G engine cannon ammo capacity
According to a Finnish source, the MG 151/20 cannon firing thru the hub could not fully utilize the full capacity of the ammo container so that instead of having a belt with approximately 230 rounds only a belt with less than 150 rounds. This due to occurrences of ammo belt breakages due to the gun belt-feed pulling a heavy belt with the belt failing. Any German source on this? If this occurred in German service too, we're there any attempts to fix it with e.g. a belt-feed booster in the container?
