Gerhard Lüty 8./JG52
Gentlemen,
Wondering if anyone has any information on Gerhard Lüty. I have the following: Lüty, Gerhard Oblt 28 victories 8/JG-52 (5/43 S.U.) Bf 109G-4 Werk # 19261 (lost 5/21/43), Bf 109G-4 Werk # 19341 "Black 3" (lost 7/8/43) POW 8 July, 1943 after being shot down in his G-4 at Ugrim. WIA 21 May, 1943 during aerial combat at Taman. His first known victory, a Soviet LaGG-3 on 3 May, 1943. Magnus, 28 victories. I have the Vernehmung written by Lüty on his action 21.5.43 Signed by Lüty and Rall. Does anyone know if Lüty survived as a POW? Cheers Bill |
