Ian Torn - Royal Flying Corps
Hi all.
Bit of a longshot.... Ian Torn (born Aberdeen 1919) , was born to British Parents William and Daisy Torn, who immigrated to Boston in the USA. In 1937, Ian (age 17) and his younger brother and sister sailed from Boston arriving in Glasgow in January 1937. The Boston Globe quotes "Ian will go into training in the Royal Flying Corps" In 1937, this would have been the RAF? I can't find any references to a Ian Torn flying anywhere in the war. Any ideas?
