On this date SLdr Neville Duke shot down a Bf109G with underwing cannons (a Kanonenboot) in the Gabes area. It crashed near a German Red Cross hospital. JG51 lost three aircraft which crashed after combat, aa the pilots survived. Did JG51 ever operate the Bf109G-4/R6?

It is possible the aircraft was either Bf 109G-4 WNr 15163 or WNr15131

best regards

Keith
