How many JFVs have been printed over the years...?
In my library, down on the left side, you'll find a blue and heavy mass of Luftwaffe books, thirty "Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945". As of today.
Which is the amount of excellent books in this series that Prien et al has rewarded us with. I checked the preface to number one in this series (from year 2000!) and see that the prognosis for the whole series is set to about twelve volumes...! Well, well, lucky us for all the extra information which have been flying in over the years! Now, just for the fun of it - do we know how many examples that have been printed over the years? How many of each volume? Perhaps they're printed as "books on demand", so, are some volumes more "popular" than others? The prizes on the market appear quite stable, none of the volumes much more expensive than the other ones, not even the number one...as far as I see... Just wondering Hans K |
