Fw 58 crash Chateaudun - seeking wknr + crew details - 2 July 1940
Good morning to all members.
I would like to know more details about the crash of a Fw 58 at 09:15hs at Châteaudun Flugplatz, on the 2nd July 1940. This machine crashed due to poor visibility (IMC in bad weather), probably a CFIT (Controlled Flight into Terrain). Am not sure if the pilot was Oberst Otto Abernetty, or if he was flying as a passenger. Any help in ID the werknummer of the machine and the rest of the crew would be most welcomed. Adriano
