Major Graubner KG 4 on May 8, 1945
Hello,
On May 8, 1945 III Corps received the following report from the 14th Armored Division: "Major GRAUEBNER, Kampsgeschmader 4 who flew in his plane with crew and women to escape from Russians at KOENIGGRAETZ (60 miles E of PRAG. He ordered all his 15 planes to fly into this territory to surrender. All equipment is O.K.; landed at VELDEN (Z3080) 1800B. All 15 planes will land S of WEIMAR." Is there anything known about this incident? I am not really sure if the location of his landing is correct. A couple of years ago I read somewhere on the internet that Major Graubner landed close to Munich, but cannot find the source anymore. Kind regards, Daniel
