Help with the meaning of CLi on the Ju 88 D-1/CLi designation

I have read this somewhere, but am not finding here on the Search facility or on other Forum's facilities.

What is the meaning of the CLi abbreviation on the Ju 88 D-1/CLi designation of some machines?

IF memory doest not fail me, it was something related to "long range", however I do not know from where it originated (the German word or meaning).
