Actually there is only one air to air victory against manned aircraft attributed to Ukraine AF up until now, and that is Su-25 shot down by UAF MiG-29 on the first day of the war over Hostomel airport (Mig-29 was then shot down by a S-400 from Belarus - well known video of burning wreck in the Kiev reservoir, with pilot parachuting next to it).
UAF stopped any attempts at air combat already in May 2022, because they didn't have anything comparable to Russian R-77 and R-37 missiles. Ukraine MiG 29s are used either as UAV/cruise missiles hunters in the western part of Ukraine or as HARM shooters |
