Well, Stig do you think it could be anything other than a Albatros C.I or C.III? I think that the panel on the nose is distinctively Albatros as are the cabane strut and gap in the upper wing.
I think I've made A reasonable case for why it is not a C.I,but would concede that it has to be a possibility that it is.But based on the radiator,and again the wing mounted radiator we do see,although seen on the C.I is very wide spread on C.III machines, the balance of possibility points to an Albatros C.III. However, these are just my thoughts and by no means proof. If you have different thoughts on the aircraft type in the photo I'd naturally be interested. Regards, Clint |
