Spitfire VB/Trop T-L, EP706

Is it true that this Spitfire of No. 249th Sqn. originally belonged to canadian pilot George Beurling and later to Sqn.Ldr. Maurice Stephens. Did these two pilots shared with this plane? And what about painting, because sources says about two different paint schemes. I'm more interested the period when Sqn.Ldr. Maurice Stephens was an owner of this Spitfire.
