Re: Times in MACR: Central European Time?

As far as I know, the time given would be the local time in use on the day of the loss.

In Britain in 1944, GMT+2 ("British Double Summer Time") was in use from 2 April to 17 September, as you say. The rest of the year was GMT+1. I think (but pease correct me) that Allied forces deployed to the European mainland continued using the time in Britain - that would probably have been easier all round for command purposes.

Central European Time was (and is) GMT+1 but mainland Europe was on German Summer Time (GMT+2) from 3 April to 2 October 1944.
