Stig. Of the 3 Hurricanes which took off to meet the strafing 109s on the 15th. only one ( Sgt. G E C Genders RAFVR) returned to the field; as the German photo shows her later ( 12 May after 33's last 4 Hurricanes had retired to Crete on 27 April) it's possible that Genders was flying P3732 on 15 April and one of the 2 pilots killed on that date was in another.
Both Hurricanes lost on the 15th were wrecked; Chetham is buried in Phaleron Cemetery but Mackie was not found and remembered on the Alamein Memorial. I think they lost 6 pilots at Larissa and most of their Hurricanes (Mk.Is). Regards Nick
