Information concerning the loss of Uffz. Leopold Simbruner - killed 12.04.43

Hi,

Please can someone help with the loss of Uffz. Leopold Simbruner who was killed on the 12th April 1943?

His card explains he was a bordfunker in a dive bombing unit (possibly KG54) and was killed over the Mediterrenean over the Gulf of Tarent?

It looks like the word begung is used - did it take 4 days to recovery the crew?
