Ed. The B-17Fs in Block F-75-DL with turrets were re-designated as G-5-DLs. The turret was introduced in the previous Block, F-70-DL (42-3483-42-3503); 42-3483 was "Chopstick A-Able" and photographed with nose turret. They were designated G-1-DLs.
The last Vega Fs ( Block F-50) no turrets; the last Boeing Fs (Block F-130) no turrets unless retro-fitted. Based on photos. Nick
