No.137 Sqdn
Good Morning,
In the afternoon of August 4th 1944 the Squadron flew an Anti-shipping strike to the dutch coast with 4 Typhoons: P/O. E.Ashworth, P/O. J.Gates, returned safe, F/O. H.T. Nicholls returned safe but was hit by ships flak, P/O. James C. Holder was shot down and killed. I’m looking for the first names of Ashworth, Gates and Nicholls, or can point me in the direction where to search… Tia for the assistance, Dirk
