Uffz Heinz Götte 2/04/1940 or 2/04/1944

Hi !

Uffz Heinz Götte is presently buried at the German War Cemetery at Lommel (Belgium). The date of this death is mentioned as 2/04/1944 on his grave, but the Volksbund website mentiones 2/04/1940.
He was originally buried at Veurne cemetery (= Furnes), which is rather close to France and the Belgian coast.

Who has more details about his last flight and the plane in which he crashed ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc
