P-40B 41-13297 crashed 24th Jan 1942
A P-40B 41-13297 crashed 24th Jan 1942 in Hawaii killing the pillot. This aircraft was recovered and is now flying with the Fighter Collection
However, can anyone put a name to the pilot killed on the aircraft on 24th Jan 1942. The airplane came down on the Koolau Range, Oahu in Hawaii A P-40E '65-000' was lost on this date on the Koolau Range killing the Pilot 1st Lt Kenneth Wayne Sprankle # 0-022823 of Lafayette, Indiana See: http://www.aviationarchaeology.org/s...ly/Jan1942.htm And I wondered if this was a mis-ident Regards Paul
