Looking for details of a Normandy Bf-109 crash
Hi all,
I'm attempting to research a Messerchmitt Bf-109 which I believe crash landed and burned at Les Landelles (a hamlet just to the west of Verneusses) in Normandy (Eure department), according to my source 'shortly after D-Day', so June/ July '44 at a push. Bernay was possibly the location of the plane's Staffel, or higher HQ. Any details any forum-members might have about this crash, at all, would be gratefully received, as would any pointers in the right direction for further research. Best, Chris
