Five of the Many - New Bomber Command book

A quick post to notify of the forthcoming launch of Five of the Many - Survivors of the Bomber Command Offensive from the Battle of Britain to Victory Tell Their Story.

It's similar in format to Five of the Few. The featured veterans are
Tony Iveson DFC (617 Squadron)
Joe Petrie-Andrews DFC, DFM (35 Squadron Pathfinder Pilot)
Jack 'Benny' Goodman, DFC and Bar, AFC, AE (37,99,627 Squadron Pilot)
Harry Hughes DFC, DFM, AE (102, 692 Squadron Navigator)
Rupert Cooling (9 Squadron Pilot)

(one short of 300 operational sorties between them)

We are planning to launch the book at the Duxford airshow 8/9 September 2007. Currently Tony, Joe, Harry and Rupert have provisionally committed to attending (Sadly Jack is not well enough to travel). Further details of the launch are on http://www.stevedarlow.co.uk/news.html - from which there is also a link to further book details.

With thanks
