24 July 1940

Hi guys

A Fleet Air Arm pilot, Midshipman (A) Charles Mortimer, was killed in an air crash on 24 July 1940 while flying from Lee-on-Solent (HMS Daedalus).

Can anyone tell me the aircraft he was flying and the circumstances of his crash, please?

Cheers
Brian
