German bomber belly lands on Noordwijk beach, May 3 1941
I’m researching air activities around Noordwijk village. It is situated on the Dutch coast, west of Leiden. During the occupation a heavy battery of the German navy was situated to the north of the village. Every now and then the battery and the village were the target of bombs or machine gunfire. Nothing on a large scale however.
Who can tie this incident to a specific allied aircraft? May 3 1941 A German bomber makes a belly landing on the beach 2 km north of Noordwijk battery. |
