A ? RE: Anton Hackl;
Guys:
Anton Hackl is one of my favorite LW personalities--particularly his ability to survive & succeed on ALL the War fronts the Jagdwaffe served in... Anyways, I have a question that I hope is not TOO silly to ask but, I was wondering: Why didn't he get transferred to Jets? He spent his entire career flying prop aircraft while others high scoring Experten like Baer, Steinhoff, Galland et al...found themselves flying the Me262... TIA NM
