Hi,
Attached an extract from F. Trenkle "Die deutschen Funknachrichtenanlagen bis 1945" Band 2. It describes how forward observers were in direct radio contact with supporting aircraft in order to direct them onto the right target and prevent own forces from being attacked. A true FAC function.
