Do 17 loss by M.S. 406's, 16/05/1940, NL
Hello Gentlemen,
Can anyone identify this Do 17?: 16/05/1940: M.S. 406's of GC III/1 claim the destruction of a Do 17 near Zaamslag (Zeeland province, Netherlands. The French pilots are: (Lt) Tony Leenhardt, (A/C) Cremieux and (S/C) Cazade. Confirmed by Dutch research; the Do 17 made a belly landing north east of Spui. The crew, Fw August Schenkelberg, Gefr Herman Reiche en Uffz Johann Gronn, were made prisoners of war. Sources: German aircraft losses in the Netherlands, May 1940, by Lt. Col (ret) E.H.
