Dear Alain,
are you sure this was an aircraft of 12./NJG 2 and not 12./JG 2 ? I have it as an aircraft of 12. Staffel of JG Richthofen that was damaged over Belgium in an engagement of parts of II./JG 2 with B-17 returning from their attack on Schweinfurt in the afternoon of August 17th, 1943, and which had to belly land at St. Trond sustaining 25% damage to the aircraft and no harm to the as yet unidentified pilot in the process. What is your allocation of this Bf 109 G-6 to NJG 2 based on ? Perhaps you can help me to erase a mistake in my files and set this matter straight. Regards Jochen Prien
