Richard has been backing up interesting threads for years.

Server.com never offered a useful means of backing up material and after they put a 2000 post cap on the forum (which cost about 8000 posts at the time) I never attempted to keep it up manually.

One of the main reasons for leaving server.com and running my own forum tool has been the means control the total number of posts (no more 2000 post limit), better search tools and finally having better moderating tools, incl. the means for effective back ups.

It is a shame that I did wait as long as I did, perhaps missing some of this forum's best moments. Perhaps TOCH! has been surpassed by many other forums, but at least we tried to go forward.

So my final answer, it is a real shame, but there is only 2005 and onward.

However I am hopeful that together as a community we'll still have many good years ahead of us.
