Peter Hinchliffe O.B.E
It is with much sadness that i have just learnt that my dear friend and mentor, Peter Hinchliffe, died this evening after a long battle with Parkinsons.
He was a fine author who had a great gift for giving to other people who were interested in Bomber Command and the German Night Fighters. Had it not been for his friendship and generosity with his advice and translating I would never have started writing books. Peter had many friends, both here in Britain, Germany and around the world. He will be sorely missed by many, and particularly by me. I have lost my dearest friend. My condolences go to his many friends and family. David
