Jettisoning DCs or ASBs

Hi all,

I am looking for help with problematics of Coastal Command. I have read that in first stage of war DCs or ASBs of CC planes were jettisoned by pilot, later by navigators. Could anybody give me more info about this?

Were there any regulations who was responsible or is known the date of change of responsibility? Or it consists on plane type?

Any comments much appreciated

TIA

Pavel
