Re: Bombing of New Milton Hampshire 23/08/40

Thanks Chris that's great. It certainly did not hit the railway station though, the rearest bomb damage was nearly 300 meters away. Amongst the 24 killed were 19 local civilian, including a member of the home guard, a Captain and a corporal of the Royal Artillery and three Lancashire Fusiliers. I have been asked to write a small piece on the bombing for an exhibition of New Milton history, I don't suppose you have any more details of the aircraft, crew, intended target ect. Thanks as always. Del.
